Sensex, Nifty open lower on caution over US debt ceiling talks

Indian stocks opened lower on Wednesday, tracking declines in their US and Asian counterparts, after negotiations over the US debt ceiling remained unresolved nine days before a possible default.

The Nifty 50 benchmark is down 0.24% at 18,304.30 as of 9:15 AM IST, while the S&P BSE Sensex is down 0.33% at 61,776.07. )
