ReNew setting up 2 hybrid projects of 70.2 MW in Karnataka for energy park

ReNew said on Thursday that it is in the process of constructing two 70.2MW hybrid projects in Karnataka.

“ReNew is preparing a 27.2 MW… project for Toyota to support the renewable energy requirements of its Bidadi auto manufacturing plant, and a 43 MW power project for Sandur to begin its decarbonisation journey,” the company said in a statement.

The solar and wind energy projects will help reduce 150 kilotons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. The projects are part of the ReNew 200 megawatt energy park to supply clean power to businesses in Vijaynagara district of Karnataka.

The company did not provide any financial details of the projects.
