JSW Steel crude steel production grows 7% YoY to 1.7 MT in April
JSW Steel on Wednesday reported a 7 per cent growth in crude steel production on a stand-alone basis at 17.77 lakh tons (LT) in April 2023.
GSW Steel said in a statement that the company produced 16.67 liters of steel during the same month last year.
In April 2023, the company said production of its flat products rose 16 percent to 13.92 liters, from 12 liters last year.
However, production of its long rolled products decreased by 9 percent to 3.21 liters from 3.54 liters in April 2022.
“The production of long rolled products is lower due to the planned shutdown of capital at the Salem and Vijayanagar plant sites during April 2023,” the company said.
JSW Steel is among the six largest steel manufacturers in India.
