The bank said in a statement that the contribution, the largest of any TMC foundation, will be used to construct three new buildings spanning a combined area of ​​7.5 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

Girish Chandra Chaturvedi, Chairman, ICICI Bank, said: “As part of our commitment to enhancing healthcare, this initiative will enhance comprehensive cancer care services in different regions of the country by providing patients access to the latest cancer treatments.

“These new buildings will also serve as regional referral centers and reduce the need for patients to travel long distances to visit the Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel, Mumbai.”

Dr RA Badui, Director, Tata Memorial Centre, said: “The infrastructure being added in the three hospitals will provide timely and quality treatment to people in the district at highly subsidized costs.

“It is critical that advanced cancer care be offered close to home so that more people in the area can benefit from accessing such treatments.”
