BSE sells 4.54 per cent stake in CDSL for ₹468 crore

Wedneday’s BSE offloaded a 5 per cent stake in Central Depository Services (India) Ltd (CDSL) via a syndicated deal. According to NSE block deal data, BSE has sold 47.44 lakh shares or 4.54 per cent stake worth Rs 467.75 crore in the company (average price INR 985.98).

Of that, ICICI Prudential Technology Fund bought 5.28 lakh shares at an average price of INR 985, while the identity of the other buyers is unknown.

As of the end of March 2023, BSE, the promoter of CDSL, held 20 per cent of the shares or 20.90 crore shares. CDSL shares closed down 2.8 percent at INR 1,014 on NSE. During the day, it touched a low of INR 985.

Shares of BSE rose 1.35 percent at INR 570.50.
