JSW Energy, SECI sign agreement for 300 MW wind power projects
JSW Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for wind power projects totaling 300MW.
JSW Energy said in a statement on Friday that the PPA was signed to supply power for 25 years with a tariff of Rs 2.94 per kilowatt.
“JSW Renew Energy Three, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a PPA with SECI for the 300 MW ISTS connected wind projects awarded under SECI Tranche-XII,” the company said.
The company said the projects are located in the state of Maharashtra and are expected to start operating within 24 months.
The company has set a goal of reaching 20 GW capacity by 2030 and 10 GW by 2025. With a total locked capacity of 9.9 GW, JSW Energy is well positioned to hit its targets early.
In addition, the company has forayed into the energy storage space and currently has booked 3.4 GWh of energy storage capacity by battery energy storage system and hydro pumped storage project.
