Go First extends cancellation of its scheduled flights till July 6

Cash-strapped Go First announced Thursday that it has extended cancellations of its scheduled flights through July 6.
The airline, which is in the process of a bankruptcy settlement, stopped flying as of May 3 and has since extended cancellations of flights several times.
On Wednesday, senior representatives of Go First’s current management discussed various aspects of the revival plan with officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
“…for operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled through July 6, 2023 have been cancelled,” the low-cost airline said in a tweet.

Sources said on Wednesday that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation will examine documents submitted by Go First related to the revitalization plan and will also conduct an operational readiness audit before allowing the carrier to resume operations.
The recovery process accelerated after the formation of the airline’s Creditors Committee (CoC), comprising Bank of Baroda, RBI, IDBI Bank and Deutsche Bank, on June 10.
The lenders committed interim financing of around Rs 450 crore, keeping in mind that today’s operations are expected to cost around Rs 10 crore, the sources said.
