WeWork leases 0.22 mn sq ft office space in Bengaluru to open 3 centres

Main business partner WeWork India has leased 2.2 thousand square meters of office space in Bengaluru to open three new centers with a cumulative capacity of 3,600 offices.

Presently, Bengaluru-based WeWork India has more than 6.5 million (65,000 sq ft) of space across 45 locations in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.

WeWork India said in a statement that the company has leased 95,000 square feet of space in the Embassy Golf Links Business Park to set up two centers with a combined capacity of around 1,600 offices.

It has taken up an area of ​​1.25 thousand square feet in Prestige Tech Park Jupiter, located near Marathahalli with a capacity of 2000 offices.

Nearly 60 percent of the space is pre-assigned, highlighting the strong demand for flexible workspaces.

Of the three, one facility is now operational and the other two will open soon.

WeWork India said it has been expanding its presence in the country since its inception in 2017. Its revenue rose 70 percent last year to around Rs 1,300 crore.
