Vritti Solutions plans to make its ERP solution platform more analytical for farmers, arhtiyas
Vritti Solutions plans to make its innovative ERP solution platform AdatSoft — developed specifically for arhtiyas (commission agents at agricultural produce marketing committee yards) — more analytical to provide more information to farmers, its CEO Veerandra Jamdade has said.
The ERP solutions, developed in 1992 in Pune, also plans to come out with a credit control module, Jamdade told businessline in an online interaction.
Adatsoft is a software that maintains all records of auctions an arthiya takes part in, related transactions and communications with farmers and other customers. Vritti allows farmers to download the ERP solution on their mobile phones and does not charge them for it.
Biggest issue
The software helps track delivery and sales of goods. It keeps track of the date and time of goods sale and receipt of the proceeds of the sales. Sometimes, goods are held up for a week when the market is slow. These details, too, are recorded and the trader gets to know his profit or loss on each consignment handled. “He can look at the analytics to get details of the rates. We are working on this and it will be available for farmers too,” the company’s CEO said.
On the credit control module, Jamdade said credit is one of the biggest issues in the agricultural market. “A lot of money is caught in bad debts. The idea is to provide the outstanding of a particular buyer in the market. This will put the commission agents in a better position,” he said.
On the other hand, if anyone wants to buy in the market, that person’s credit rating can be checked. And based on the rating, data can provide an idea on how much credit can be extended, he said.
eNAM interface
AdatSoft is equipped with mobile, cloud, barcode integration, UPI, and RTGS payment systems that expedite transactions directly to farmers’ bank accounts and streamline collections for commission agents, the Vritti Solutions CEO said.
The Adatsoft has benefitted many commission agents and farmers too. In one case, a pomegranate trader in Pune adopted the solutions and has emerged as one of the top traders in the country. Similarly, it helped a green chilli merchant in Mumbai to manage his daily transactions to help him expand his business.
Vritti, which has the solution as a web-based one and also as a mobile application, has two parts to its offerings. One, it tracks the trade at the auctions and the other between two traders. “We have completed automation for this,” Jamdade said.
AdatSoft is ready for integration with electronic National Agricultural Market (eNAM), a government initiative promoting transparency through online auctions. AdatSoft’s potential eNAM integration could further enhance auction data transparency, streamline processes, and support digital payment verification, he said. Through Adatsoft, Vritti will provide an interface to eNAM.
Roping in banks
The software allows commission agents to manage sales, market updates and communication with farmers and purchasers in real-time. “Once an auction is recorded, farmers receive instant notifications via WhatsApp or SMS, providing transparency and instilling trust in the process,” said Jamdade. This will allow farmers to focus on production.
“Immediate transfer takes place to the farmers’ account. We have now provided the interface to ICICI and HDFC Banks for use with AdatSoft,” Jamdade said.
Vritti Solutions has its AdatSoft presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is present in other States at a smaller level. “We have now expanded our reach to the Middle-East. We have provided this software to a trader who imports produce from India and sells there,” the company’s CEO said.
AdatSoft remains prepared for future integrations, with the ability to incorporate IoT, drone technology, and blockchain as practical use cases increase, he said.
