UltraTech Cement Q1 consolidated sales increased by 19.64% to 29.96 MT
Combined sales of leading cement maker UltraTech increased 19.64% to 29.96 million tons in the first quarter ending June 2023.
Aditya Birla Group said in a regulatory filing on Saturday that the company produced 25.04 metric tons of cement in the April-June quarter last year.
Its total sales volume in the domestic market increased by 19.87 percent to 29.01 metric tons during the quarter under review. It was 24.20 metric tons in the first quarter of fiscal year ’23.
Its production of gray cement in the local market reached 28.60 million metric tons in the June quarter of fiscal year 2014, an increase of 20 percent, while its production of white cement reached 0.41 million metric tons, an increase of 11 percent.
UltraTech’s overseas production, mainly gray cement, was 1.04 metric tons in the first quarter of FY24, an increase of 10.63 percent.
She added that the company recorded “90 percent energy utilization during the quarter.”
UltraTech has a consolidated capacity of 135.55 million tons per year (MTPA) of gray cement. It has 23 integrated manufacturing units, 29 grinding units, one clinker unit and eight bulk packaging stations.
It is the third largest cement producer in the world, excluding China.
