IT specialist Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said on Monday the company is helping AIB Life launch its operations in Ireland. TCS said the company had been chosen as a strategic partner to “help build a full service digital life business for the Irish market”. AIB Life is a newly formed joint venture between Allied Irish Banks plc and Great-West Lifeco,

In a BSE filing, the company said TCS provided its technical expertise to create a “modern cloud-based technology stack,” with leading insurance platform TCS BaNCS at its core.

According to the company, the technology group gives AIB clients the ability to access financial advice and a range of AIB life protection, annuity and investment products at their branch, over the phone and through AIB’s mobile banking app.

“The digital capabilities and configurability of TCS BaNCS Life will help differentiate itself in the Irish market with innovative offerings that seamlessly support its clients in their personal financial journeys,” said Vivekanand Ramgopal, Head of BFSI Products and Platforms at TCS. “Financial services companies and their customers around the world benefit from the rich functionality and omni-channel experiences offered by TCS BaNCS. Its Digital First, Cloud First architecture is specifically designed for the digital first approach that AIB Life has taken”

“After a thorough market review, it was clear that TCS’s contextual knowledge, European cloud-based technology and Letterkenny’s global delivery team meant they would be the ideal partners for us,” said Jackie Doyle, Chief Operating Officer, AIB Life.

Last week, TCS secured a deal from the BBC to transform its finance, procurement and HR management applications. The company said the company will leverage AI-powered human-machine collaboration group TCS Cognix in a multi-year partnership.
