Suzlon Group bags 47.6 MW wind energy project in Gujarat from KP Group
Suzlon Group, which provides renewable energy solutions, has secured an order for a 47.6 MW wind power project from KP Group in Gujarat.
However, the company did not disclose the value of the order.
The company said in a statement that the project is located in Vajra in Bharuch district in Gujarat and is expected to start work in 2024.
A project of this scale could provide electricity to 36,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.42 thousand tons annually.
Suzlon will supply the S133 wind turbine (equipment supply) and supervise the implementation and operation of the project. It will also provide comprehensive post-commissioning operations and maintenance services.
JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, said, “The power generated from this project will serve the Commercial and Industrial Consumer (C&I) sector, a key sector to drive deeper penetration of renewable energy in India.
