Sensex, Nifty rise on hopes of US debt ceiling deal

BSE Sensex And NSE Nifty It opened higher on Friday, retracing overnight gains on Wall Street on hopes that the US will soon reach a level Debt ceiling deal to avoid defaultWhile foreign investors continued to buy local stocks.

The main Nifty 50 index rose 0.31 percent to 18,186.15, while the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.2 percent to 61,556.25 in early trading.

However, the gains could be capped as stocks in broader Asia were hit by shares in China and Hong Kong on fears of a shaky recovery in the world’s second-largest economy.
