Samunnati facilitates export of 275 tonnes of grapes to Netherlands
Samunnati facilitated the farm gate purchase and direct export of 275 tons of Thomson seedless grapes to the Netherlands in the 2023 grape season. This marks Samunnati’s efforts to support growers to tap into the international export market.
In a statement, Samunnati said it has facilitated farm-gate purchasing, end-to-end primary processing, cold storage, packaging, and certification, all the way to the export stage. The grapes are sourced from Nashik district from Global GAP certified growers within 100 sq km packing houses. To meet the stringent compliance requirements of the European Union, Samunnati has obtained all necessary licenses and permits from relevant government authorities, including Agmark certification and APEDA approved packing houses. The shipment of 20 containers of grapes benefited more than 36 local growers and ensured they got better realization of the value of their produce.
