OYO to add 300 hill station hotels by Aug to cash in on vacation rush
Hospitality and travel technology company OYO said on Monday that it will join and add 300 hotels in hill stations to its portfolio by August 2023 to take advantage of the summer holiday peak.
The company said in a statement that the new hotels in north India will be in places like Manali, Mussoorie, Nainital, Srinagar, Shimla, Dalhousie and Hardwar while in the south it will be Ooty, Munnar and Kodaikanal.
Gangtok, Darjeeling and Shillong in the east; She added that Lonavala and Mahabaleshwar in the west will also see new OYO hotels.
An OYO spokesperson said that the company is seeing a rise in demand for hill stations and this trend will continue over the next three months.
“Through our expansion across major hill stations in India, we aim to offer travelers a wide range of options, while also contributing to the growth of domestic tourism,” added the spokesperson.
In addition to expanding across mountain destinations, OYO also aims to add 1,800 new hotels to its portfolio in 2023 as part of its ongoing premium bid.
