Lenovo to invest $1 billion over three years to advance AI infra solutions
After Accenture announced $3 billion in artificial intelligence investments, Lenovo on Wednesday announced plans to invest $1 billion over three years in expanding infrastructure solutions to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) to businesses around the world.
This announcement marks the largest investment in Lenovo’s history for AI infrastructure and will expand the company’s leading AI-ready portfolio of smart devices, infrastructure solutions, and services to help accelerate innovation, enable the use of generative AI and deliver informed decisions at scale across sites distant. across financial, manufacturing, healthcare, retail and smart city applications.
Lenovo’s investment strategy includes an additional commitment of $100 million to expand the Lenovo AI Innovators Program. The program has already delivered a record number of over 150 ready-made AI solutions built with 45 leading ISV partners across its extensive ecosystem.
The announcement comes after the company reported record revenues of over $2 billion, increased digitization, and demand for IT infrastructure upgrades. Lenovo is focused on simplifying the complex implementation of new AI capabilities by connecting AI to the data source, and harnessing its vast network of data. While the company did not specify what percentage of this investment would come to India, the company said the largest investment is aimed at enabling an AI ecosystem in all markets across the world and creating access for organizations of all sizes and all markets, including India.
