Infosys signs $454 mn deal with Danske Bank to boost digital transformation

Infosys, India’s second largest IT services company, said on Monday that Denmark-based Danske Bank has selected it as a partner to accelerate the lender’s digital transformation.

Infosys said in a statement that the deal is worth $454 million for a period of five years, with an option to renew for an additional year for a maximum of three times.

“This is supported by significant investments in digitization and technology, including plans to further develop our customer-facing digital solutions, modernize our technology infrastructure to enable better customer experiences and enhance operational efficiency,” said Frans Wolders, Chief Operating Officer at Danske. bank, in a statement.

The lender offers banking services to individuals and businesses, as well as large corporations and institutions.

The partnership includes Infosys working with Danske to accelerate the bank’s technology transformation. The IT giant will also take over Danske Bank’s IT hub in India, where more than 1,400 professionals work.
