IIL launches new insecticide to tackle pests in paddy, sugarcane
Agrochemical company Insecticides (India) Limited (India) Limited has unveiled a new insecticide called Mission, which is effective in controlling various lepidopteran pests in crops like rice, sugarcane, soybean, vegetables and more. The new product, which is available in both granular and liquid formulations, has a unique mode of action that controls pest resistance to other insecticides. The company said in a statement that the mission is safe for insects beneficial to crops.
Mission fixtures in the country are now manufactured by IIL. Earlier it was imported. This ‘green’ insecticide is under IIL’s ‘Make in India’ initiative to benefit even small and marginal Indian farmers across India. The mission has contact and systematic action and because of these insects are effectively controlled after ingestion. The task effectively controls stem borer and leaf cutter in rice, which are the major pests in rice.

Mission is a latest technological insecticide that can be used on a variety of crops and provides farmers with good control against Lepidoptera pests, and ensures healthy crops and high yields. The company is looking forward to a good response from the markets in Punjab and Haryana.
