GST collections up 56% to ₹1.44 lakh crore in June

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue rose to ₹ 1.44 crore, registering an increase of 56 per cent over the same month last year.

Sitharaman said that ₹1.4 lakh crores is the “rough minimum” now for GST collections.

GST revenue for the month of May was approximately INR 1.41 crore.
