Gensol to unveil first EV model ‘EZIO’ at Delhi Mobility Expo
Gensol Electric Vehicles, a subsidiary of Gensol Engineering Limited, announced today it will showcase its first electric vehicle, EZIO, at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. The compact two-seater EV will be displayed from January 17-22 at the Bharat Mandapam venue.
The shares of Gensol Engineering Limited were trading at ₹757.55 down by ₹0.40 or 0.05 per cent on the NSE today at 2.30 pm.
The company will also present EZIBOT, an electric concept cargo vehicle, at its exhibition booth. Both vehicles will be manufactured at Gensol’s new Chakan plant in Pune, which has an annual production capacity of 30,000 units.
Anmol Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering, described EZIO as “India’s first truly modern and compact EV,” positioning it as a solution for urban mobility needs while supporting national decarbonization goals.
Gensol Engineering, established in 2012, has primarily operated in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction services. The company has completed over 770 MW of solar projects across India and recently expanded into electric mobility through EV leasing services and manufacturing.
The announcement comes as the company acknowledges delays in the vehicle’s development, though it maintains that the final product will justify the extended timeline. The EZIO showcase represents Gensol’s first major step into India’s growing electric vehicle market.
