FMCG firm Bajaj Consumer Care net profit climbs 13 pc to Rs 40.5 cr
Consumer goods company Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd on Wednesday announced a 13 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 40.46 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2023.
It recorded a consolidated net profit of Rs 35.82 crore in the period last year, according to a regulatory filing by Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (BCCL).
BCCL owns hair oil brands such as Almond Drops and Brahmi Amla.
The company’s revenue from operations increased by 14.53% to Rs.246.19 crore during the period under review as compared to Rs.214.95 crore in the same period last year.
Its total expenditure was Rs.210.32 crore, up by 13.69 per cent in the fourth quarter of FY23 against Rs.184.98 crore.
BCCL’s total income increased by 13.37% to Rs.259.52 crore in the March quarter.
For the financial year ending March 2023, BCCL’s net profit decreased by 17.93% to Rs.139.21 crore. It was at ₹169.63 crore in FY22.
However, its operating income in FY23 increased by 9.45% to Rs.949.05 crore from Rs.867.09 crore a year earlier.
Shares of Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd settled down 0.83 per cent at Rs 164.25 per share on BSE.
