Brigade Group to build World Trade Center in Thiruvananthapuram
Brigade Enterprises Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Technopark to develop a World Trade Center and business hotel in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The project, announced on January 13, 2025, will create approximately 1.5 million square feet of infrastructure across multiple towers.
The shares of Brigade Enterprises Limited were trading at ₹1,062.85 down by ₹85.40 or 7.44 per cent on the NSE today at 2.50 pm.
The development aims to attract IT multinational companies by providing Grade A office space and is expected to generate over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs. Brigade Group plans to invest approximately ₹1,500 crores in Kerala over the coming years.
The MoU was formally presented to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by Brigade Enterprises’ Executive Chairman M. R. Jaishankar. The ceremony was attended by key officials including Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan and IT Secretary Ratan Kelkar.
This marks Brigade’s second World Trade Center project in Kerala, following their successful development in Kochi, where they are currently expanding with a third tower. The Kochi facility’s IT infrastructure spans over one million square feet.
Brigade Enterprises, established in 1995, has been developing properties across major Indian cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, GIFT City, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Mysuru, spanning residential, office, retail, hospitality, and education sectors.
