Audi India posts 97% jump in sales at 3,474 units in first half of 2023
German luxury automaker Audi on Monday announced a 97 percent jump in retail sales in India to 3,474 units in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period last year.
Audi India said in a statement that the company sold 1,765 units in the January-June period in 2022.
“Our performance in the first half of the year, despite supply challenges and higher input costs, laid the foundation for a successful second half of the year,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India.
He also said: “Our full-size models Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q5, Audi A4 and Audi A6 are in strong demand. Our premium models Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Audi A8 L, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS5 Sportback and Audi RS Q8 And the Audi RS e-tron GT is also growing in healthy numbers.”
The company said its used car business “Audi Approved: plus” grew by 53 percent in the first six months of 2023 and will continue to expand in the country.
The company said: “It is currently working with 23 Audi-approved companies: in addition to facilities in all major centers in the country, the brand is expanding and will include more than 27 used car facilities by the end of 2023.”
“Our electrified range will soon see a new model, the Audi Q8 e-tron, and we are confident of continued success in this segment,” said Dillon during the company’s electrification journey.
Other electric models of Audi India include the e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55, e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT.
