AGEL commissions 130-MW wind plant in Guj; portfolio crosses 1 GW-mark

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) said on Friday that its arm Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five Limited (AWEK5L) has commissioned a 130MW wind farm at Kutch in Gujarat state.

AGEL said in a statement that with the start of operation of the station, its total operating capacity for wind power generation has increased to 1,101 megawatts and the total operating capacity of renewable generation has reached 8,216 megawatts.

The plant has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a tariff of Rs 2.83 per kilowatt hour (kWh) for a period of 25 years.

AGEL is part of the Adani Group, and develops, builds, owns, operates and maintains large-scale grid-connected solar and wind farm projects.
