ACFI starts campaign to promote quality agri inputs
Telangana Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy has launched a campaign initiated by the Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) that seeks to promote the use of quality agricultural inputs (agrochemicals).
The minister announced 10 mobile trucks as part of a campaign titled “Jago Kisan Jago” to raise awareness among farmers about the role of high quality agricultural inputs to improve yields and farm income.
It also aims to tell farmers how important it is to have proper invoices to ensure the purchase of high quality agricultural inputs.
“These mobile trucks will disseminate important information about the use of quality pesticides to farmers. They will educate farmers about modern agricultural techniques, and stress the importance of purchasing agricultural inputs with proper billing,” said RG Agarwal, Chair of the Advisory Committee, ACFI.
ACFI has organized similar campaigns in Haryana and Maharashtra.
