ACC and Ambuja Cement launches Cement & Concrete Research Development facility

ACC owned by Adani Group and Ambuja Cement has launched a cement and concrete research and development facility in Kalampoli, Navi Mumbai.

The newly established R&D facility will help Ambuja and ACC drive progress, promote cost optimization, and find sustainable solutions to shape the future of the cement industry, according to a statement.

She added that focusing on new product development, enhancing productivity, and reducing energy consumption and environmental impact were key factors for establishing the research and development facility.

“Our new R&D facility is a reinforcement of our collective commitment to pushing boundaries, driving innovation and addressing industry challenges,” said Ajay Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer, Cement Business.

Leading cement producer UltraTech has partnered with Finland-based Coolbrook to start a joint development venture.

The company will install Coolbrook’s RotoDynamic Heater (RDH) technology at the UltraTech production plant to electrify cement production, a statement said.
