TPDDL clocks highest peak power demand of 2,182 MW this season so far

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), which has a customer base of 1.9 million in North Delhi, has successfully fulfilled the demand of 2,182 MW, a company spokesperson said.

Amid wet weather, Power discom TPDDL recorded the highest power demand of the season so far on Tuesday afternoon, the company said.

“This has successfully demonstrated that the growing energy needs of our customers have been taken care of without any grid restrictions or blackouts,” he added.

According to the Government Load Dispatch Centre, power demand in Delhi was at its peak of 7,279 MW at 3 p.m.

Peak demand in the TPDDL distribution area reached 2,163 MW last Friday, when Delhi recorded its highest peak demand for the year at 7,398 MW.
