Tea prices dip at Coonoor auctions on subdued export demand
Decreased demand for exports Tea prices hit at Coonoor auctions last week as demand fell in all categories.
According to the merchants, the blenders were only active at lower levels, while tea offers began to decline due to unfavorable weather conditions in the production areas. This is evident from the quantity offered, which amounted to 19,14,533 kg in the paper category, while it was in the dust grades 7,41,531 kg.
Sales were only 65 percent in total paper bids, while in dust it was 73 percent.

Global Tea Auctioneers said higher-priced and better wines in CTC papers were generally $4-5 lower. Better mediums were also ₹2 – ₹3 lower with some drawdowns, especially in the bolder scores. Media and easier were less in demand and easily sold for ₹3 – ₹4.
Expensive tea rules easily
In the dust of the CTC, the initial scores for whole papers were $6-₹ 8 lower, brokers were less in demand and sold less by ₹ 4-₹ 5. More expensive and better libations were generally easier by $6-₹ 8 and more in sometimes. The best medium types were barely constant to the easiest sometimes by $1-$2.

Simple media and genres were also ₹3 – ₹4 lower with fair draws especially in PD score.
In orthodox dust, the scores for primary orthodox dust were generally lower by $6-₹8, while secondary and fine dust scores were hardly constant and were $1-2 lower.
