RailTel bags order worth Rs 39.37 cr from National Informatics Centre
RailTel in India on Saturday received a job order worth Rs 39.37 crore from National Informatics Center Services Inc (NICSI) for an Onsite Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC) with high availability solution, 5-year installation support and training under Migration Project and Visa, Alien Registration and Tracking (IVFRT).
An official statement said, “The value of this work order is Rs. 39.37 crore. The scope of work includes supply, installation, testing, commissioning and training of SOC and NOC solutions with 5 years of support.”
RailTel Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kumar said the order received by the company aligns with RailTel’s core expertise in IT infrastructure management.
“With this project, one can continue to enjoy seamless, convenient and efficient online immigration services for one’s travel to India while keeping their records secure at the same time,” he said.
“We are delighted to be a partner in the implementation of this project which is one of the mission setting projects being undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India under the National E-Governance Plan (NeGP). RailTel further stated that the IVFRT project aims to modernize and upgrade immigration services.
“The primary objective of this project is to develop and implement a secure and integrated service delivery framework that facilitates legitimate travelers while enhancing security,” the official statement read.
