NDDB’s Meenesh Shah receives honorary doctorate from Kamdhenu University
Minish Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), has received an honorary degree from Kamdhenu University, known for excellence in the fields of veterinary medicine, dairyand fisheries.
Shah is also the Managing Director of NDDB.
Acharya Devrat, Governor of Gujarat and Chancellor of Kamdhenu University, conferred Doctor of Science (Honorary Koza) on Shah for his contribution to dairy sector During the University’s 9th Annual Gala held at Gandhinagar in the presence of Parshuttam Rupala, Union Minister for Fisheries and Dairy Farming, Raghavji Patil, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Government of Gujarat and NH Kilwala, Vice-Chancellor of Kamdhenu University, among others.
Notably, Kelawala is one of the board members of the NDDB.
“This is the first time that Kamdhenu University has conferred an honorary degree,” NDDB said in its statement.
Shah’s NDDB career spans more than 37 years. He has been instrumental in conceptualizing, planning and implementing several interventions in the dairy and allied sectors and most importantly in enhancing the incomes of small and marginal dairy farmers.
Shah is a Dairy Technologist from Sheth MC College of Dairy Sciences, Anand and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).
