NSE shifts Bank Nifty settlement from Thursday to Friday

The circular added that “the first Friday will be on July 14, 2023.”
Recently, the exchange modified the lot size and expiration day for monthly, weekly and long-term futures and options contracts on the Sensex and Bankex indices, which came into effect from May 15. – Futures and options contracts dated Friday from Thursday. Accordingly, the lot size of Sensex futures and options contracts was reduced to 10 from the previous 15 and the Bankex index was changed to 15 from 20.
However, futures and options on Nifty 50, Nifty IT, Nifty Midcap 50, Nifty Infrastructure, Nifty CPSE, Nifty PSE and individual stocks will continue to expire on the last Thursday of the expiry month, but contracts on the Nifty financial services index will expire. last Tuesday and the Nifty Midcap Select index last Wednesday.
